La actividad inicia los actos organizados por el semanario ‘El Noroeste’ para conmemorar su 20 aniversario

 

15/03/18. El semanario ‘El Noroeste’, con motivo de la conmemoración de su veinte aniversario, ha preparado un ciclo de conferencias, que inicia el próximo miércoles, 21 de marzo, en Caravaca de la Cruz la doctora Marta Garaulet.

Con el título “Calidad de vida: Nutrición y hábitos saludables”, la docente e investigadora impartirá una charla en el aula BMN de Caravaca de la Cruz, a partir de las 20:00 horas. La acompañará el doctor Agustín Navarrete, presidente Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer en la Región de Murcia.

La actividad docente e investigadora de Marta Garaulet siempre ha estado relacionada con temas de nutrición, en especial sobre obesidad, publicando más de 200 artículos científicos en revistas de alto impacto en su área. Su investigación ha sido crucial para el descubrimiento de la importancia de la hora de la comida.

El semanario ‘El Noroeste’, que recoge información de las comarcas del Noroeste y Río Mula, en palabras de su editor, Francisco Marín, “ha tenido como principal sujeto de divulgación a la cultura en todos sus ámbitos: deporte, arte, literatura, música, cine, divulgación científica y cualificación del conocimiento”.

Durante este 2018, además del ciclo de conferencias, ‘El Noroeste’ ofrecerá otras actividades, como la publicación de una recopilación de los artículos para este semanario del cronista de Caravaca y de la Región de Murcia, José Antonio Melgares Guerrero; un concierto de la Orquesta de Cámara del Noroeste, un concurso periodístico para escolares o la gala, que clausurará los actos, donde se reconocerá a personas y entidades destacadas de los municipios del Noroeste y Río Mula.

“Celebrar este cumpleaños es lo que corresponde hacer en este momento. Celebrarlo para agradecer la confianza de quienes nos han acompañado: lectores, colaboradores, empresas anunciantes y trabajadores del periódico. Cabe destacar en este punto la colaboración especial con APCOM y más recientemente con INTEDIS, las dos asociaciones que se ocupan en nuestras comarcas de las personas con discapacidad intelectual y que trabajan por alcanzar la Plena Inclusión. Su entusiasmo y buen hacer son ejemplo de que estamos en el buen camino”, ha señalado Francisco Marín.

Marta Garaulet Aza es doctora en Farmacia, Nutricionista y Máster en Salud pública por la Universidad de Harvard (EE.UU), así como catedrática de Fisiología y Bases Fisiológicas de la Nutrición en la Universidad de Murcia.

Garaulet es además premio a la mejor trayectoria profesional en el ámbito de la Endocrinología y Nutrición de la comunidad Europea año 2011; premio Dr. Gregorio Marañón al ‘Mejor Investigador’ en el campo de alimentación del año 2012; y premio de Investigación en Obesidad del año 2015 concedido por la Sociedad Española para el Estudio de la Obesidad (SEEDO). En 2016 recibió el premio nacional a la personalidad más relevante en el campo de la gastronomía, concedido por la Real Academia Nacional de Gastronomía. Este año ha recibido el “Grand Prix de la Science de l’Alimentation” por la Academia Internacional de Gastronomía.
