Con un día menos de duración que en la edición anterior, la Oficina de Turismo registra un incremento del 9,66% respecto a las visitas de 2018.

El concejal de Turismo, José Carlos Gómez, y la concejal de Comercio, Hostelería y Artesanía, Ana Belén Martínez, han destacado el impacto económico del mercado en los establecimientos del municipio.

El concejal de Seguridad Ciudadana, José Santiago Villa, ha hecho una mención especial para las fuerzas de seguridad y el personal que ha ejecutado el dispositivo establecido, permitiendo que el evento se haya desarrollado sin incidencias a nivel de seguridad y tráfico.

 

La XVI edición del Mercado Medieval ha superado todas las expectativas: cerca de 20.000 visitantes y un 9.66% más de turistas que durante la edición anterior, a pesar de que la del 2018 tuvo un día más de duración.

“Los datos recogidos por el área municipal de Turismo respaldan el impacto económico de este evento en el municipio, tanto por el incremento de visitantes como de servicios prestados, indicadores que respaldan potencial turístico de un producto turístico que este año ha superado todas las expectativas y que ya está más que consolidado en Caravaca”, según ha indicado el concejal de Turismo, José Carlos Gómez.

Murcia, Comunidad Valenciana o Madrid han sido las principales regiones de procedencia del visitante nacional, mientras que Reino Unido ha sido el primer destino de procedencia del turista internacional.

ara el edil de Turismo, “estos datos, sumados al 100% de ocupación hotelera -cifra avalada por el Instituto de Turismo de la Región de Murcia- respaldan el éxito del trabajo de promoción que se ha venido realizando desde Caravaca de la Cruz para esta fiesta”.

El perfil medio del turista que ha visitado Caravaca durante el puente de la Constitución se ha situado en los 45-65 años, procedente de grupos organizados, familias y parejas, seguido de un perfil con una edad comprendida entre los 30-45 años y por último, el turista menor de 30 años.

“Este es otro dato que invita al optimismo, porque se trata de un perfil de turista que por edad y formato de viaje, gasta más y ayuda a consolidar el impacto económico positivo del Mercado Medieval en Caravaca”, ha añadido José Carlos Gómez.

 

Asimismo, la concejal de Comercio, Hostelería y Artesanía, Ana Belén Martínez, ha sumado sus valoración al optimismo que han generado estos datos, destacado el importante impacto económico que la XVI edición del Mercado Medieval ha tenido en el comercio, hoteles, bares y restaurantes no solo de Caravaca, sino del conjunto de la comarca, a juzgar por los 20.000 visitantes que durante estos tres días ha acogido Caravaca de la Cruz.

Para finalizar, el concejal de Seguridad Ciudadana, José Santiago Villa, ha hecho una mención especial para las fuerzas de seguridad y el personal que ha ejecutado el dispositivo de establecido, permitiendo que el evento se haya desarrollado sin incidencias a nivel de seguridad y tráfico. En el dispositivo han colaborado Policía Local, Guardia Civil, Bomberos, Protección Civil y Cruz Roja.
